Call for papers special issue

This issue will receive original manuscripts of empirical research or theoretical essays that address discussions on public policy analysis in Latin America. Public policy analysis was born as a field of knowledge in the 1950s in the United States as part of the Welfare State project for Western countries.. In this context, functionalist currents, neopositivism and social engineering were elements of this theoretical development. However, the theories produced in developed democratic societies often do not correspond to the realities of the countries of our region, where a neoliberal imprint and important challenges to face the prevailing extreme inequality. At the same time, the relationship between the production of knowledge, the role of experts and the policy-making presents an articulation that is far from what happens in the realities of Europe and the United States. In this sense, this volume seeks articles on the following topics:

• Theories of public policies on Latin America
• Relationship between experts, academics, science and public policies.
• New ways of producing knowledge for public action after COVID-19.
• Public policy analysis in Latin America as an applied field.
• Generation of knowledge oriented to management in public organizations.

Manuscripts will have double-blind review and the journal's editorial policies will be applied for all purposes.
